Walmer Model Railway

The Walmer Model Railway Club was originally located at Deal Station and had been there

for 23 years until they were invited to the EKR in 2002. The club is now in a restored

LMS Stainer carriage which Alan Coe, Peter Bartlett, Robin Varney, Brian Allnut, Bob Fields,

Paul Fields, John Watson and Peter Rathall spent a total of 18 months restoring to its full glory.

The model railway carriage comprises of 4 different layouts which include:-

~ OO gauge ~

~ Hands On Thomas ~

~ G scale (rare indoor set) ~

The Walmer Model Railway Carriage is open to the public on all running days.

Many of the buildings and streetlamps light up adding an extra touch of magic and ensure visitors go away with many happy memories. A huge thank you is given by the Railway to each of the above named members who have made this possible.
