Yes, I'm back.

You may know me from the times I've been between the EPB coaches, scraping the old paint off for repainting, helping at the Level Crossing, helping when the MLV 9002 and BEP arrived and generally helping out whenever I could. I enjoyed it very much.

I then got involved with saving another CEP (well, three others all told, but my bunch only owns one of them) and have thus been away for quite some time, first on the Dartmoor Rly, and now at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway.

However, getting to such places takes a fair bit of time, and as I only live an hour away by train from the EKR, it made sense to return. I look forward to meeting some old faces and the new ones that have joined while I was away.

My Names David Daniels, I am a very odd occassional member at Shepherds Well, the work I do are miniature railway driver, a guard in training, level crossing keeper seems like most of the time im down there, and the odd cutting back the bushs and weeds.

you are a credit to the railway Neil , without your dedication it would really struggle . I can't remember ever going to Shepherdswell and not seeing you there . It is really noticeable in the past year how your enthusiasm has been soaring now that the railway is going forward . See you down there soon

thanks for the comments Jeff . It was of course down to you that Mary and myself became members , your friendliness and enthusiasm a credit to you . I firmly believe too that next year will be the best yet for the railway .

Just to introduce myself.

My name is Jeff White and I have been a member of the EKR for around 10 years. I am now a committee member and I am willing to turn my hand to any job at the railway. As far as I know, I am the only person EVER to fail the driving test on the DMU.

For the first time in years, I am extremely optimistic about the railway's future.We have enthusiastic and hard working volunteers, who are achieving wonders. Thanks to Mary for a wonderful website.

hiya, my name is neil also known as wacko or nezza. I have been a regular volunteer for the East Kent Railway since October 2005. On the railway i am a driver for the miniature railway, a guard and presently a tempory permanent way manager and hopefully soon will be permanent
