Buffet Platform Re-vamp
Extending and raising the platform by the Buffet began in January
The aim is to extend the platform
so that it reaches the Model Railway carriage, making it more accessible for those with
pushchairs and wheelchairs.
Railway members have been working hard so that the new platform at least as far as the buffet will be ready or the new season.
An excellent job is being done by all involved. to the right is a slideshow of the work in progress.
What a difference a month makes!!!
By the end of February not only was the platform extension completed but the buffet carriage received a complete rub down and repaint.It now looks reslendant in it's maroon livery.
As well as making the carriage accessible to all it has created enough room for 3 small tables so diners can enjoy Alfresco living on the EKR
The internal walls of the buffet are also receiving a fresh coat of white paint and new shelving installed for the buffet crew
